Automatically scan messages for malicious URLs

Activate this feature by tapping your profile image in the top left to access your Settings page, then go to "Chat features".

You will then see a switch to activate Malicious URL scanning.

When this feature is on, Rolo will anonymously forward URLs you send and receive in messages to Google, who will check if the linked websites contain any malware, unwanted software, social engineering and phishing, or other types of threat that may target your device and data. If a malicious URL is detected on a message, you will see a warning on the message.

Please note that this warning is only a guideline, and may occasionally be incorrect.

Please note: When this feature is active, your conversations are technically no longer end-to-end encrypted, although the only data being shared is limited to the URLs shared within messages.
