What does the red dot on tabs mean?

When using Rolo, you may notice that red dots appear on tabs when there is a new item or update within that tab.

For example, you will see red dots on the Contacts tab if new contacts have added you; or a red dot on the Chats tab may indicate you have unread messages, or missed calls.
